| Pender Hill is a hard trek hiking workout which has great scenic benefits for an overview of the Pender Harbour and Area. The steep trail can be slippery in wet and drying out conditions. The hill is 231m (758ft) high and starts climbing quickly straight up. The Pender Hill Trail covers 3km (2mi.), 1/2 -1hr to complete. |
| From the summit of Pender Hill views of; Sechelt Peninsula, Pender Harbour and surrounding area you will see: sailboats, fish boats, tugs, yachts and motor boats, eagles and maybe deer or a Roosevelt Elk from it's vantage point. |
| The Sechelt First Nation's People first used Pender Hill as a look out post for threats and friends that could be coming to the harbour. The other look out point overlooking Pender Harbour and lakes is on Mount Daniel. |
| Access to Pender Hill Trail: Follow Hwy 101 North from Pender Harbour approximately 5km (3.4mi.) North of Madeira Park and turn West off Highway 101 onto Garden Bay Road. At Junction keep right for 4.5km Approx. 8km from the Garden Bay Rd turn right onto Lee Road. |
